I think I want to get a new phone. Mine is small and compact but not able to do all I want from it likely in the coming months.
Possible replacements for my Samsung D900 and A727:
Samsung Armani
Display: TFT touchscreen, 256K colors - 240 x 320 pixels, 2.6 inches
Camera/Video: 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels,
NO 3G, only Tri-band
smaller than current and better camera
Samsung F700
Display: Type TFT touchscreen, 256K colors
- QWERTY Keyboard
3G HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps
Camera 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels, autofocus, flash, video; secondary VGA videocall camera
Google Maps
- Document viewer
doc viewer, better camera than A727, qwerty and still 3G
LG Prada

NO 3G, only edge
2MP
pretty
LG Viewty
Display: Type TFT touchscreen, 256K colors
3G HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps
Camera 5 MP
Document viewer (DOC, XLS, PDF)
Great to hold and sleek, great camera, and 3G with doc viewer ++
HTC Touch
Display Type TFT touchscreen,
3G No
# Camera 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, video
# - Pocket Office(Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF viewer)
HTC TyTN II
# Display Type TFT touchscreen, 65K colors Size 240 x 320 pixels, 2.8 inches
# - Handwriting recognition
# - QWERTY keyboard
# 3G HSDPA 3.6 Mbps
# WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11b/g
# Camera 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels, autofocus, video; secondary VGA videocall camera
# - Built-in GPS receiver
Pocket Office(Word, Excel, Outlook)
Powerhouse, and could swap sims to small sleeker phone for weekends? edit: buy shit, it's expensive! maybe after a while...
Any input? Leaning towards F700, Viewty, or TyTn II.
3G helps a lot (adding data package soon as I use it more and more), better camera helps, Qwerty is highly attractive...Last edited by rwh11385; 04-22-2008, 08:49 AM.Comment

I'm rocking a LG VX9800 that I got in August of 2006 (about a week before it was released.) It's not a bad phone, not like the trendy ones that Heeter posted, but it's quite functional. It was one of the first to have wireless internet, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a QWERTY keyboard. I may get a new one (while still using the VX9800 off and on) this summer. Does anyone have any recommendations on a Verizon-compatible phone under $350?

I have a Palm Centro on Sprint. It's not the most powerful PDA phone around but for the price and with my casual usage I'm very happy with it. Plus $30/month for unlimited text, data, and nights/weekends means this thing gets put to good use. ;)::: Present -- '87 325e, '95 525i
