    probably a small percentage actually are real.
    in one sense you are just an enabler....instead of spending cash on gas they spent it on whatever because you took care of some gas bill.
    in another sense, if you are willing to fork over cash to the undeserving just so that the few deserving get it, well thats your choice.
    some think that these deeds are done so that the person cab feel good about themselves.

                    as much of a dick as i am, i CAN, on a rare occasion, let the good inside shine out.

                    went to a friends house to pick him up to head downtown for the night, as im pulling in his apartment complex some elderly women is trying to flag me down, i wanted to ignore her... but didn't. she had a speech problem and needed to call a taxi for some reason, i made the call for her, she tried to give me a couple bucks but im not hurting for money so refused.

                    saw a dude on a harley stopped on the highway once, so i pulled up asked if he needed help, guess he only lived a few miles away so i gave him a ride home so he could grab his truck to pick his bike up.

                    when i see car accidents, usually the first person to jump out and stop traffic and try to help the crash victims, i took a survivalist course and they touched on first aid, most i ever did was pull a door off a car and help a guy lay on the ground while waiting for the ambulance, it wasn't life or death but i think he was a little more comfortable.


                    makes you feel good when you look back and realize, "hey, im not a complete asshole, guess somewhere deep down i care about others". that being said, most of the time i AM a selfish prick.
