Prettttty sure ATT is allowing the unlimited plan to roll over again with the new iphone. I have been in their sights with ~ 4gb data a month. I get that friendly reminder message that i should curb my usage.

^ lulz. All these issues with droids has kept me from converting. They seem cool and all but ive never had an issue with my iphones and ive had them since the 3G model. 4S has been great since the day i bought it almost a year ago. Just seems like a better product. The OS is easier to use (dumbed down i know...bla bla) but i love apple products. Thought about getting a samsung galaxy tab but after playing with my parents ipad2 and comparing...ill be getting an ipad...

My experience with Android phones has been that they work...for about a month, then need reboots about once every two days. Have always owned the best Androids that were out when my contracts were up for an update. Have tried different Roms, tweaking things myself, and stock on all. Not a noob either as I am an IT admin...Will probably be going with the next iPhone. Unfortunately I will lose my unlimited 3g that I was grandfathered into.

Currently what really ticks me off is the GPS on my Moto Droid 3. Takes about 20 min to pick it up so that I can use Nav. NOTHING has fixed it. Used to take but a few seconds to acquire. I honestly want to go back to a phone that just works...hence an iPhone. Last problem I had was VERY nerve wracking as my Droid 3 decided to freeze as I called 911 for someone that fell unconscious.

i plan to get an iPhone 5 when I'm eligible for an upgrade around thanksgiving. Ive had droids for a while now and every single one i've had crapped out on me right after the 1 year manufacturer warranty. I'm currently using an HTC Thunderbolt that is crippled. the middle of my screen in the shape of a + from top to bottom and left to right doesn't work. essentially rendering the phone useless. The only saving grace is the phone has voice recognition which is keeping my going, but its a major PITA.

^ it's really all dependent on your needs and location. Unlimited data is worthless if it's so slow you cannot use it. Check to see if Sprint has your area green lighted for the LTE network upgrade this year.

I ordered two for the wife and I. Switched back to Verizon too.

Been an android user for 4 years. We had the HTC Hero and HTC EVO 4g's on Sprint. They never launched the WiMax in Phoenix so we never got to enjoy the speeds. Sub par phone coverage and fading 3G coverage. Our android phones have been repaired and replaced a minimum of 7 times in the 4 years we had them.

Lots of talk about android this, apple that.....I'm looking for a change. I'm tired of paying for sub par product and services.

I look forward to getting the new phones.

So would you absolutely not recommend sprint? I was going to get it so I can have unlimited data for the same price I pay for a measly 300mb on AT&T.

Not sure if anyone else got lucky but i was actually able to preorder off of ATT's site at around 11:50pm on the 13th. So i will be expecting my white 16gb this friday.
while it is not a major leap forward, i have an upgrade handy and i am not lowering my standards to an android phone with their malware and bloatware.
Though that nokia lumia seems legit.

The fact that you state an iPhone is not "user friendly" is hilarious. I would say that a phone where you can't edit, delete, or fuck anything up is user friendly. Plug n Play means you plug it in and it works. Talk to anyone that isn't "technologically" savvy inside a At&t/Verizon/Sprint store & you'll see why Apple's stock keeps rising.

You didn't like the Apple experience, because you're above just having a phone work. You're able & capable to change, edit, customize, delete, & fix I bet unlike the other millions of people who call customer care centers all day. Yes I agree with the fashion hipster statement, but last time I checked, people under the age of 25 weren't the only one's buying Apple iPhones.

Some old people that know how to use them, get the iPhone because their kid, grand kid told them it's the best phone ever. and if they don't know any better they'll agree and get it. why? because kids now a days are stuck on their phones and think they know all. I like to customize my shit without having to jailbreak. middle age people, come on you really don't think they get it to be on the bandwagon and attempt to look "cool"? did you see that youtube video? that explains all. "oh god it really is lighter" like you could tell...it's faster than my 4/4s(internet wise), well no shit 4g>3g.

Got the 4s last oct on opening day so im not eligible til the 5S if they make it but i preordered one for my dad. He's very excited! I think it looks badass...

Half the people are stupid then. I payed 200 for my phone and I have unlimited date for 30 a month.

Everyone pays $650 for their iPhones, whether it's right now or over the next 24 months.

If you have Verizon, I hope you paid the full price on the phone, otherwise you had to join the share plan. Paying for the phone over two years isn't the point, paying for how much the data is going to cost you is. At&t I believe stated that plans wouldn't change, but why change People from Unl. Data when the cap kicks in at 2GB which from uploading pictures all day onto tumblr from the iPhone 5 is going to push that cap within the first week.

I really wish $650 was all you were paying for the whole Apple experience.

Btw this is still a dual core cortex a-9 processor disguised as a "Apple A6" guys. Don't be fooled.

Tegra 4 is rumored to run a quad-core processor tbat runs the Kepler architecture with 32-64 Kepler cores. Id wait till then guys.

Some people are catching on to how Apple is operating which isn't bad for business at all. If I wanted a smartphone that was just plug n play, the iPhone is that phone. I'm not hating on it by any means, I just hope R3v members don't screw themselves with the carriers plans, because so many people are not informed of all the changes this phone is creating/bringing.
