Personally, on the topic of time travel. It only makes sense to only to be able to travel into the future.

Otherwise if traveling back in time was possible some fuckwad would have come back and said "YO DAWG IM FROM THE FUTURE AND THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE"

Time travel would be a one way street. Once you decide to travel into a distant future, you are stuck at that dimension until you skip forward again.
