Question about da future 1

What would happen if I went into the future and while I was there you chopped off your finger?

Would I then be able to travel back to present time in the same universe?

I was thinking about my last post and I got mind fucked.

Assuming there aren't multiple universes just a set timeline and you hop in a machine and travel 5 mins to the future. You would not be able to see yourself because 5 mins before the time you arrived you left to go 5 mins into the future and you have yet to return. So with that scenario you would not be able to see yourself ever no matter how far you go.

Now if we say there are multiple universes because every decision you do not make becomes a new timeline and life. If you were to time travel you would either be thrown into a random dimension with who knows what or the existing timeline from which you left where the world lived with out you for however long you decided to travel (i.e. 50 years - Everyone aged but you and you would never see an old version of you in that dimension.) Of course in this multiple dimension scenario the only time youll ever see yourself is in dimensions in which you decided to never travel through time.

If you do not find yourself, that means you chose to travel through time and the you of that dimension is in a whole different dimension. Makes sense?

Would it be cheating if you, say, went 18 years in time & smashed a chick who doesn't exist now but does in the future?

You wouldn't be cheating in the present if that person doesn't exist in the present for you to cheat with?
