How do you obtain your music?

I used to be all about limewire bootlegging tons of songs but with that joy gone, I don't really know how to go about downloading music anymore. I've been downloading from youtube but generally the quality isn't there. What do you guys recommend? I know about torrenting but the idea of downloading a whole album just adds to my clutter.

So discuss, fill me in on all of your bootlegging methods!

    A song for fun

Very carefully. Seriously though, just torrent then delete what you don't enjoy.

I usually just google the title of the song I'm looking for followed by usershare/zippyshare/hulkshare/mediafire... One of those uploading sites usually has the song I'm looking for.

And I use a torrent app called vuze.

Most of the time the artist doesn't need your money. The record company and staff likely do though.

Android market had an app that would download as mp3 files and then i would just transfer to ipod or computer. Quality was top notch.

Sounds like you need to start listening to some better artists.

Google and Firefox with a couple extensions if need be. Works all of the time.

This is a great way to get a virus.

With torrenting, you can set the application to only download the files you want. You don't have to download every file, unless they are all in an archive anyway.

Haven't got a virus yet that i know of. Beemp3 and skullmp3 are safe, been using them for years, just look for the song with the highest file size for best quality. But yeah i have used torrent sometimes. Also fuck any youtube -to- mp3 program, quality is horrible.

Besides, its hard to find torrents of artists that aren't exactly known widely.

Why won't iTunes play We_Found_Love.exe? And why does r3vlimited have 18 popups on every page? :x

In somewhat support of this. Its not that the artist dosent NEED your money, its usually the case of they dont even get the money. Most of CD sales goes to the record company, production company, etc.

Artists only make music off their gigs. Only reason why they look filthy rich is cause of the record company pays for everything.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.
