Phone advice?

I broke my dumb phone in my pocket while working on the e30
and now I'm looking for a new one.

It' a verizon zte just like this one.







Could I buy a smart phone and just go to one of those hole in the wall places
and transfer all my contacts and info and number on a newer smart phone?

Right now I'm looking at a verizon droid razor but idk.
Want to keep it at $200 or less. Still looking so if you guys can help me out
that would be great. I dont' know anything about phones. Looking for one
with wi-fi too.

I dont' have a data plan just pay monthly for text and phone.

If you buy the phone outright yes, you can keep your plan. If you buy a smartphone from Verizon they will force you into a data plan.

if all you want is a dumb phone that calls and texts, just go to amazon or ebay and search around there. You;'re more likely to get a complete phone/charger/accessories package that may even be new. Last phone i bought was $20ish shipped to me, all i had to do was activate it with sprint

Dont buy the latest and greatest phone if you want to keep it cheap. Look at NEW older phones from last year or the year before. I have been rocking my rooted OG droid 855 for 3 years. Its starting to die and crash all the time and getting annoying. So what I am going to do you ask??? I am going to update mine and the little womans phone from the OG droid to the Droid 2, for about 250 bucks for the pair bought OUT RIGHT, this way I dont have to be locked into a god dammed contract for 2 years and can keep my plan just the way it is

My brother just got his 1st smart phone about a month ago and did the same thing when he changed carriers, he got a NEW old stock OG droid 855 for 95 bucks shipped to him from ebay.

Yeah latest and greatest phone is like 900bux.
I'm keeping it at 200.

I found a droid 4 for 200bux but don't even know if I can use it.
That's what I'm asking. Don't know anything about phones.
I already have a plan. Just need to buy a used phone from a private seller and
hopefully have my info switched over to it from my crappy phone is possible.

yeah I am not a fan of the droid 4 its fuckign HUGE and seems to be made of plastic Vs metal and gorilla glass for the 1st 3, and the lack of a serviceable battery on the 4 makes me really not want it
