      I would be careful using it in the garage....
      It may possibly create a volitile situation if used in close proximity to fumes, or alcohol based products... you know, like cleaning stuff

        If used correctly they are harmless. Its the idiots who don't read/understand the instructions with the heater that get hurt (feelings).
