What do Hurricane Sandy and Snooki have in common?
They're both headed to the Jersey Shore with plans to blow everyone in a 50 mile radius.
I think it's overhyped, but I'm not going to say it's going to be nothing. I went out on my boat yesterday and it was beautiful out, this morning there are 4-5" waves and a 30mph wind. A couple of my friends got evacuated, 1/4 mile down the street from me got evacuated, roads I have to go on to get to my shop are closed down and stores are sold out of bread and milk (Seriously? You may loose power for a few days and bread and milk are the 2 things you think you'll need most?).Byron

it's the end of the world...Sandy is the introduction...
the rest will be a domino effect of eathquakes, unpredictable natural disasters teh media won't even be able to keep up to.
wait and watch.

The main part of the Seaside Heights boardwalk, as of this morning. The storm has still not made landfall, and is actually growing still stronger, according to the weather channel. barometric pressure is dropping and the winds are up to 85mph.
It may be a Cat1 hurricane, but its something NJ and this part of the East Coast doesn't see this type of weather. Its like getting a foot of snow in Florida, no problem for Maine, BIG problem for areas with no equipment to handle it.
