Hurricane Sandy

I saw my e30's life flash before my eyes during that storm. Was hiding out at a friend's house, heard a loud crack, looked outside and saw the top half of a tree falling off and land about 10 feet from my car. This was after I had already parked in his yard instead of his driveway in hopes of avoiding something like that. Hopefully Sandy will leave everyone's e30s alone -
Well work closed an turned on the giant generator so I decided maybe getting one more flashlight wouldnt be a bad idea well apperently I'm not the first one to think of this as walmart was out of flashlights, and tents and sleeping bags, who would want to ride oh a hurricane in a tent is beyond me but people are freaking out and I'm loving itLeave a comment:

The main part of the Seaside Heights boardwalk, as of this morning. The storm has still not made landfall, and is actually growing still stronger, according to the weather channel. barometric pressure is dropping and the winds are up to 85mph.
It may be a Cat1 hurricane, but its something NJ and this part of the East Coast doesn't see this type of weather. Its like getting a foot of snow in Florida, no problem for Maine, BIG problem for areas with no equipment to handle it.Leave a comment:

it's the end of the world...Sandy is the introduction...
the rest will be a domino effect of eathquakes, unpredictable natural disasters teh media won't even be able to keep up to.
wait and watch.

That freak wind storm we had in July is way worse than this. I just want the snows.George Mason campuses are closed until noon tomorrow. Good thing, too, I didn't do my reading
hell, it really is just raining a lot so far...People freak out about these things WAY too easily (thanks, media). Wind and rain, wind and rain
I'm gonna go out and buy some beer and pasta, I think I'll surviveLeave a comment:

What do Hurricane Sandy and Snooki have in common?
They're both headed to the Jersey Shore with plans to blow everyone in a 50 mile radius.
I think it's overhyped, but I'm not going to say it's going to be nothing. I went out on my boat yesterday and it was beautiful out, this morning there are 4-5" waves and a 30mph wind. A couple of my friends got evacuated, 1/4 mile down the street from me got evacuated, roads I have to go on to get to my shop are closed down and stores are sold out of bread and milk (Seriously? You may loose power for a few days and bread and milk are the 2 things you think you'll need most?).Leave a comment:
