Halo 4 pre ordered

Who else has Halo 4 on pre order? I know COD, BF and Forza are played more in the r3v community. But I think we can get a nice group together. I want to get a launch night r3v gaming session going! Just a way for all of us to hangout and have some fun in customs, Campaign or Multiplayer.

My roommate will probably get it, he's a Halo fanatic. I just finished playing through CE and just started 2's campaign. Maybe I'll finish through Reach when 4 comes out

im nervous, considering halo wars and reach single-handedly almost completely destroyed the halo name. i really hope its good cuz i was a halo dude way before i was into COD. i will most likely get it

I hate how their ranking system is based off of COD's. It really needs to go back to the classic Halo 2 rankings...

I am 100% with you Jaywood, but the wole reason they went to the COD style is to hinder cheating/boosting. There is a bit more to the ranking system than just exp though:

It is still not a 1-50 based leveling gained from games won. It is based off your in game outcome. For me that is too easy, Reach had Onyx...gained it in every list that carried a scoring.

There is too many people that have to cheat to gain the highest rank. If you gain exp and rank up even when you lose...it removes the whole point to cheat. Shit kids can now be the top rank with getting trashed game after game.

Example: I matched the highest rank in Reach yesterday(3 of them), we beat them 50 to 22. I jumped back on Halo 3 and looked at their ranks, all of them did not make it past a 25 lol.

Yep, now it's ranking system is based on quantity, not quality.

Cheating/boosting is a good point, however, when the kids who do that finally play a real game vs legit level 50's they get demolished lol

Host booting was made from facing people like me lol. I don't feel sorry for them at all, what pisses me off is getting the 50 from cheating. Then playing on the 50 and cheating to keep it. Just annoys me beyond belief.

The guns look great, as do the new monsters! Story mode is going to be amazing like each title has been so far. Reach story mode was amazing and really fun. I think my favorite of all time is Halo: CE. Shitty graphics and all.

I am just a competitive player that is used to how things have been since the beginning. Reach was total shit with; jetpacks, armor lock and the list of shit goes on. Not to mention the DMR bloom, MC can flip tanks, hip fire turrets...yet a little riffle cannot be controlled.

I don't know how I feel about the "classes". Are we playing Halo or COD? I wish the ranking system was like Halo 2. I don't like the shields either.

It plays amazing, Reach was clunky and slow. I know they have that load out option. It really does not do anything more than giving you a pick over the start weapon. It is not like they are handing you an advantage power weapon.

I am in LOVE with the thrust perk, it takes huge amounts of skill to use with effect.

The sniper and BR feel awesome, I use the DMR for long range and it feels 10x better than Reach. The bloom is almost nothing.

I was expecting a total joke to be honest. But I put my Halo 3 disk away after all these years('07). That has been my only game, I did not even try Reach for more than a week because of how badly it sucked.

The new weapons are refreshing and wicked fun. The Saw is one of my favorites so far AND the Needler is now a power weapon!!! I am a huge fan of the Needler.

This is all coming from a level 50 in 11 playlists, #236 in the world and #4 in NY. I thought I would never enjoy a 'new' take on Halo.
