Both are well done man. My next gun project is def going to be an AR.

Currently I've been tinkering with a friend of mine who is a local gunsmith on my model 12 shotgun. Cerakoted, chamber extension, new grips, blah blah. He's actually been working towards the devolopment of his own line of ar-15's and 1911's. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Whats the weight on that AR? I would like to add a light or laser and bipod on my mini14 but i dont want to make it any heavier lol its already a work out when i go up in the hills

love the 1911, friend i shoot with has a sig, one of my favorite guns to shoot

cant buy anything myself for a few weeks until my LTC comes through

this is last week at the range in NH, my friend bought his freshly built AR for its first test firing, went pretty well, did not explode so thats a win, i rented an AK and we put a couple of hundrfed rounds through it

Whats the weight on that AR?

With the rail, grip, stock, and iron sights, 6.6 lbs empty. The Red Dot sight adds 8 oz. which is how I would field carry. The magnifier weighs 12 oz. and I dont know what the light/laser/bi pod weigh...I normally would not run them on the gun, but are useful to have around.

Correct. Like I said, good accessories to have around, especially if youre mechanically mobile, but nothing ruins a nice light AR field rifle by weighing down with crap.
