Seattle has won 12, St. Louis has 5, Arizona has 3, and San Francisco has 2, which is a total of 23 wins for the NFC West.
Now, lets look at the NFC Central... Chicago with 10 wins, Minnesota has 8, Detroit has 4, and Green Bay has 3, making a total of 25.
If i'm correct, that means that the NFC Central has won more games than the AFC East and NFC West, equating in more out of conference wins (due to all teams playing the same amount of cenference games). The NFC Central is also the only division of those three to have more than one team with a conference record over .500 (Chicago and Minnesota)
So if you actually look at the numbers, the NFC West is the worst conference, and the AFC East is almost as bad. At least the NFC Central has more than one team that can play decent football.

tvan knows his shit.
also, NFC south is one of the closest divisions in the league. Panthers, Tampa, and Falcons all three in a three way race for division lead. falcons have kind of slacked off, but Tampa is still right behind the panthers. it's really anybody for the taking right now. should be an interesting end to the season. if the falcons win next week against tampa, they could easily get into the playoffs as a wild card team.
colts are gonna be hard as shit to stop, but i think it can be done.
i'd watch out for the patriots, they are still a damn good team.173rd ABN

Originally posted by TvanWell they will probably have a tough time with the Colts this weekend, seeing as when they play good teams (NY, Dallas, Atlanta) they only win by 3 points.
I don't think either team is going to play their hearts out this weekend considering they are both in the playoffs and the colts no longer have the pressure of having a perfect season. It will be interesting to see who ends up playing.

The Pats, Bills, and Dolphins are all better than the Lions and the Packers. Win totals for an entire division mean nothing to me as your not facing the same opponents, its completely useless. Keep in mind the Pats had one of the toughest opening schedules ever, with almost every defensive playmaker off the field, and theyre still 9-5.Back to my roots

Not even so much as pluggin holes as it is steppin up. They just need to play a good game and they'd be as competitive as anyone out there. Some days it just don't look like they came to play. On others they look like they are unstoppable.
Got tix to this weekends romping of the BIlls.... yay!

I'm with fifedog. Regardless of who is in the playoffs, you have to give the edge to the pats. They have been there before and know how to win. We have one of the best coaches...ever, and Tom Brady is the best QB in the business when the game is one the line. Period. Yeah we're not 13-1 like the colts, but the team was absolutely decimated by injuries. Just about every key defensive player has been out for a significant period of time and our RB's were all out for a while. We had to sign a scrub off the street just to start a game! Look at us now. Healthier than we've been in a while and the defense is playing like it should. Go Patriots 3 in a row!

And sorry to all Seahawks fans, but the only reason your team is doing well is because they have THE EASIEST SCHEDULE in the NFL. The only tough teams that they have played so far are the Giants and Jaguars. If you exclude the Giants (and maybe the Coyboys) there isn't a team there that they shouldn't have run over in THEIR LAST 10 GAMES. I hope you all aren't too dissapointed when the Colts decimate them.
The Patriots time is over, no matter who they face in the first round of the playoffs, they will be up against a better team (yes, even Jacksonville.) Let's see how well they do without the home field advantage this year.
