Yeah go for lithium and LED and as many as you can stick on there. I wouldn't even try night riding in my area. 3 bikers were killed in the last couple months

Maybe those led strips the put on hondas. Just strap a bunch to your front forks and handlebars.

Stella lights, absolute best solution. Lightweight with light battery pack and very bright. My dad uses his for hiking, mountain, and road biking.

Go with an HID and something with a Lithium Ion battery. The LED lights kinda suck, they are bright as all get out, but they don't project for crap. I bought a set of LED lights a couple years ago and sold my Light N Motion ARC and I have been kicking myself ever since. I used the LED lights for one night ride and vowed never again on public roads. I then tried them on Thunderhill Raceway one night at a 24 hrs of Lemons race (track was cold). Guess what, I was outrunning my lights at 15 mph. Totally useless. Nothing like lighting $350 on fire. The lights have become the worlds most expensive flashlight, because that is all they are good for.

I'm happy with halogens and NiCD batts in the nightsun...here's the install result. The battery is housed in a standard size water bottle, so it sits in the my backup bottle cage.

I also have three blinky red lights in the back and one blinky white light in front.

I feel kinda like PeeWee Herman, but it is really bright!

Not only the brightest lights you can get for forward and rear, but lots of reflective strips on your clothing. Better to look dorky than dead.

Make yourself stupidly obvious to motorists who won't be looking for you. Blinky is good.

I rode trails at night a lot before and it's nice to have a low-mounted light of the forks, two on the bars splayed out in a 60* cone, and a headlamp. all super bright LED of course.

if you're road riding, get two lights on the back, one blinking and high up on the seat post and one solid down low on the frame. and aim the front on up and into the line of sight of drivers.. anything to be more visible!

Yeah, it's the cop's fault you broke two laws, not your own.

The planet bike rear lights are excellent for the money. Mine has been through a washer even and it was fine! The superflash is where its at!
