I personally don't partake in Black Friday. Too much stress for shit I don't need.

Anyway:

To sum it up, guy is cutting in line. People yell at him, so he punches the wrong person. Guy who got socked pulls a gun, and the douchebag runs away. Police did not charge the person with the gun, because he had a concealed carry permit.

I like stories like this.

And before you go and say that this wasn't a situation to pull your gun, think about one thing. It's black friday, people get crazy, so it makes sense to carry if you can. Also, if you ARE carrying, you DO NOT get into a fist fight and risk the aggressor getting his hands on your gun.

The question is not "Who needs a gun in that situation?" The man with the gun did not know what was going to happen, he was simply prepared for the worst. Since he DID have a gun, pulling it out to stop the attack is much better than possibly losing control of the firearm to an aggressive person (guy who punched him in the first place.)

Also if you read, he did not point the gun at anyone. The guy obviously was level headed, and acted appropriately given the circumstances. I'm glad that they didn't charge him, too many times the victim is turned into the bad guy.

it's just ridiculous. i get the whole concealed carry thing, he's perfectly within his legal rights, and i'm not an anti-gun nut, i enjoy shooting recreationally and love a good-looking firearm.


i just plainly believe that no one needs to pull out a firearm in that sort of situation. it was not life threatening.

black friday, only in america is there a huge emphasis on buying new shit that 90% of people dont need AFTER the day that your supposed to be the most thankful for all you have. theres my black friday rant for the day. but yeah no need to pull a gun in that situation. but seriously im just glad it didn't turn into some shooting god knows we dont need more of those

I say f'''' going to the store. I did some research Best Buy was selling 40" Toshibas for 180. So I got on ebay right when the first Best Buys started to open up. Waited for about an hour and they started popping up. Got one for 210 and didn't have to beat the shit out of an old man for it. Looked for some bows and got a $130 GRIZZLY recurve hunting bow for about $40still in lining and didn't have to leave my house. I went to Best Buy the next day to pick up the new Assasin's Creed and it turns out the 40" Toshibas sold out in less than a half an hour and I got the new ACIII for 39.99 from miss pricing. I luvz the internet.
