Sorry if I came across as a dick. Some of the bands that I prefer; Necrophagist, Amon Amarth, The Faceless, Pig Destroyer, Opeth, Direwolf, Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Cattle Decapitation, and of course At the Gates and Death for older stuff. I would call of those bands straight up "death metal" but I just prefer the more progressive stuff. Nowadays it seems like I only listen to 2 cds anyways, Between the Buried and Me "Colors" and the new Behold...the Arctopus. Behemoth just doesn't float my boat for some reason.

Naaa. I can keep a beat but I wouldn't call myself a drummer even on my best day.

I've seen black Dahlia twice.. Idk if I would put them in the straight up death metal category like nile (love Derek Roddy)
