Ive never gotten into Alkaline Trio. This song isnt doing it for me either. So comatose. I feel it lacks emotion.Originally posted by dwforumIf any of you here are into alkaline trio, I just stumbled upon this side project Matt Skiba has going. Only one track to preview so far, but I can't wait for the album to drop.

Anyways... Ive been listening to lots of Metric as of late and wondering if anyone has any suggestions of similar bands with female singers. Ive got some Rainer Maria as well, but other than those two my mind cant come up with anything.Comment

It's the "they're cool because no one knows who they are, so I have indie cred" mentality.Originally posted by ToplessE30Why?
I used to be like that with Wilco & Whiskeytown 10-11 years ago.

It's probably more like, "Cuz I'm not sure if my boys will approve of it because all of the girls listen to it." The Format is soft indie rock, a local band that has become big.Comment

All of my friends were like that when we first started listening to HIM. Then as soon as they released all of their stuff over here, and were selling it at Target and shit, they all started losing their minds, with that "Now everyone is going to listen to them..." bullshit. I've never understood this mentality. Why would you not want more people to listen to great music that you're into?Originally posted by CharlieIt's the "they're cool because no one knows who they are, so I have indie cred" mentality.
