Buy a fleet of E30's and keep them at all the airports you fly to, problem solved.

Showed this to my buddy who happens to be a certified airplane mechanic.

He cringed. Something about being in anything without permanently fixed wings.

That looked ridiculously unstable as a car.

the problem is that it was too far ahead of its time.

                          ^

You live in the heart of non driving fuck heads, with the ability of the average UNDISTRACTED US driver and how they maintained their cars. You really want all of them a few thousand feet in the air, in questionable quality and maintained aircraft flying around??????

In 1946 people didn't "text" and drive at the same time, the roads were much smaller with slower speeds, and there was a fraction of cars on the roads compared to todays standards.

To own and operate the Airphibian you need a pilots license. Its more of a roadable aircraft.

Does he also cringe at the sight of almost any navy plane/ helicopter flying? Almost all of their wings/ tails/ rotors are held in place by a couple easily removable bolts or pins.

I think it's an amazing design, but was way too advanced for the time.
I have friends who are EOD bro.

That's awesome. I have friends who make coffee for a living, but you don't see me rocking out a bunch of lattes
