    A very well designed machine.

    (The worlds first FAA certified Flying Car.)

                  He cringed. Something about being in anything without permanently fixed wings.

                            In 1946 people didn't "text" and drive at the same time, the roads were much smaller with slower speeds, and there was a fraction of cars on the roads compared to todays standards.

                            To own and operate the Airphibian you need a pilots license. Its more of a roadable aircraft.

                              Does he also cringe at the sight of almost any navy plane/ helicopter flying? Almost all of their wings/ tails/ rotors are held in place by a couple easily removable bolts or pins.

                              I think it's an amazing design, but was way too advanced for the time.
