Renting a car under 25.

I know there was recently a thread about rental cars but this is a slightly different question.

I'm going on vacation in SoCal next month and need a rental car, but every place I've checked besided a couple mom and pop shop type places are trying to charge an arm and a leg for underage fees...which is dumb.

I'm a little learry of relying on a small company to provide a decent car with pickup and dropoff service to and from LAX. Although it would be much cheaper.

Does anyone know of any companies that may not rape me for being under 25?

They will all try to get a finger or two in that butt of yours. That's what happens when a bunch of jackasses take rental cars on golf courses and jump a bunch of dunes.

Yeah, not happening, all major rental car companies do not like renting to people under 25, statistics show that there is a much greater risk of vehicle damage and personal injury when someone under 25 is driving the car.

Same reason that many insurance companies will rape you on rates until you turn 25.

Most company's around here will rent to people 21-25 but only the compact and economy class cars I guess because they think if you can't accelerate you can't do any harm

By Being a member of USAA not only did I get a 25% discount at enterprise but my underage driver fee was waived.

I know in Mass if you are 21+ and have full coverage they let you rent a car with a waver from your insurance company
