The C-word hurt my feelings :( That must have sucked to watch them be taken away down the road.
Welp... We flooded again....

Almost nothing salvageable. The water was up to the roof in the IS, and up to the dashboard in the Cabrio. I could not sell anything that got wet, its was all trashed. All saltwater too.
I actually dont know what they're doing with the cars. Probably chopping them up and recycyling the metal. Probably not crusher. I apologize for that F34R :PComment

Why on earth would you send those cars to the crusher? I see a good black vert top. That itself is worth about 300-400$ on the top frame. Good taillights, good panels, iS trunk spoiler, transmissions, diffs.. Bottle caps are $25 a piece at the scrapper etc.
facepalm

IS spoiler is corroded and pitted to hell
Vert frame is rusted and the fabric is torn and corroding at the base
taillights are all filled with water and corroding from salt water
Transmissions are flooded (we were installing the verts trans when it flooded
Also, with my new job, i had no time to part anything out. And further more, almost all of my tools were flooded so that made everything even worse lol
The cars looked much worse than the pictures i took showed.Comment

Salt water will plain out ruin them faster than you could save them. Would have to be a complete strip down and undercoating strip/recoat. Not to mention salt getting in the seams and tack welds. I agree they are done for.
If they were an M3 or a numbered MTech I would give the effort in saving.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

well in that case, crusher was a good call.IS spoiler is corroded and pitted to hell

I know you are a r3v og here and know your e30s. You would be out of your mind to think that their is less then $600 of salvageable parts between those two cars.
I don't know, maybe it's just me... but I die a little inside when I see complete e30s going to the scrapper

I totally understand on the salt water, done for. Any electrical, fried. Anything metal, corroded, salt will eat away at anything you put in front of it.
Maybe door skins and steering wheel but without tools, hard to do. Besides, I'm sure you got more important things to think about right now. Good luck with everything.YOUTUBE: AR Perez

It has nothing to do with knowing E30s or anything....the cars were ruined. Salt after ruins things, OP is being a stand up guy by not trying pass off shitty shit to the community.
Salt water destroys shit. Engines/ trans aren't waterproof against being submerged especially in salt water. It sucks to see relatively clean cars get trashed, but sometimes there is nothing you can do.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com
