    I ponder these things...

I know that most of BMW engineering is without fault and godsent(sarcasm), but why do I have to open my door with my right hand to get out? What's the point? Discuss.

It's akward opening with your left. It's like they designed it for people with one really short left arm.. I dont think there is a legit reason for it.

Maybe your left arm is underdeveloped. Best choke the turkey with the left for a while

The handle is so far back that it's obvious it's meant to be opened with your right hand. With my bucket seats it makes it more of an issue, my left elbow keeps hitting the seat support

I open lots of cars with my hand closest to the door depending on the seat

It's been a while since I've been in an e30. But IIRC I think I used my right hand a lot to open the door due to the handles location.
