the characters have been funny-lookin from the start, but i'm guessing hand-artwork and storyline don't comprise the majority of the production budget, yanno?

It's light on story and artwork, but I like it because it's car-related and because they try to be technically accurate. It's sort of an ad for all the stuff they sell at Autobacs though.

no joke man- the last time i watched stg4 i was on deployment... '08-09. i'd given up hope that we were going to see any more converted to the screen.

but given that back then, the AP1 and the R34 were the "latest/greatest" thing they could throw at tak... s5 could be good. since you're reading the manga, no fucking spoilers plz.

But the car animation got 100x better. Stage 1 looked like
A bad PS1 game. This looks fairly decent.

Need to watch the 4th stage. Guess I know what I'm doing

Stage 1 looked like A bad PS1 game.

stage 1 was made in the ps1 era- 1998.

I've only ever watched stage 1 before. I thought the character animation was fine. Sure, Itsuki looked like a dick with those crazy lips but I think that was the point. Itsuki is a dick.

Half way through stage 1 again, and already have the rest waiting.
