heres one for your viewing pleasure.
I don't really care about one post per person... I like coming in and finding tons of pictures waiting for viewing pleasure. I also like small bits about the cars/teams/drivers. It adds to the experience and helps inform people about the history of these amazing cars and races.
what are your suggestions post all of them let's try appreciate them fist before trying to dig the whole season up and post it in one link. ( IDK )
Pictures > words for me, if it were up to me I'd have first post include all photos with a short description of each, then all following posts for discussion. Add photos to first post as they appear.
Here's a car people don't associate with IMSA much...
I was at this race with my pops in '89 - I was 7 yrs old..
Jean Alesi's F40 was in the lead until near the end of the race when the Ferrari's Pirellis could no longer take the 750+ horses, and the Audi 90 GTO's (on Goodyears and quattro, of course) of Hans Stuck and Hurley Haywood passed him to take first and second.
Those quattros were insane, but I still remember being able to hear the F40 and it's shreiking wastegaste all the way around the track - amazing.
Another name in racing that is pretty fascinating is Peter Farrell. Raced IMSA and rally for many years. Started in SCCA back in the late 70's or early 80's. And later went on to win 20+ IMSA races. But was probably best known for his rallycross days.
