I think i got this stuff about 10-12 years ago. I haven't looked into what to do to these for upgrades. And as for coal loads, I got some older hoppers with a load in them but its a fake load. It just sits in the hopper to give an illusion of a load. I'm guessing i got to go with that? Or do i fill it up with fake coal? I'm very n00b at this...
Theres a Few Companys out there that make loads.
Alot of the Newer stuff has loads in it,with decent coupler/trucks.
But you can always upgrade,or if you still have the older run stuff
theres stuff available.
Heres a weathered HO version,of a 4 bay coal hopper
If you have more questions add me on Failbook. Model trains are my life. :)Leave a comment:

Tried my first weathering job on this hopper, need to rust the wheels and suspension. Ones in background i bought that way many years ago. I said i was probably going to go with Western Maryland. But I do got 4 CSX engines and with the price of the Western Maryland engines, i can get more CSX cars then i could with the money spent on a engine. I know i'm probably doing everything backwards lol. But thats what i do best sometimes!

My dad and I have built many HO layouts over the years, including his current layout that I built for him several years ago. Full DCC, converted many locomotives, etc.
DCC is insanely cool, I swear they run a million times better on digital, plus the lights, sounds, etc.. its awesome.
My grandpa even built me a riding train in his backyard which is still sitting back there, was a blast as a kid (I had a TRAIN in my backyard)
Speaking of SP4449, it came up here quite a few years ago and it has always been one of my favorite steam locomotives (I also have a SP4449 HO (Sadly not DCC, however its on my list to convert)

I replied to your pm.Good. :)
Signal Maintainer cool :)
Ive had about 6 apps with UP,and never got called,They prob know im a big Foamer, I mean after all Not Many Girls wanna work on the railroad.
Your the reason why So many of my SP friends are pist. Just leaving the H2 searchlights to die.
Let me ask you this? How can i legally buy a H2 signal????
I actually used to work with a female, she's awesome. Shes an ex marine which helped her along with being college educated; being a former body builder helped too. I went to her and her wives wedding this past fall. It is tough to get hired on with all rail roads.Leave a comment:
