shitbags stole my stereo

I just got my stero jacked tonight while i was at this smoothie joint for a few minutes, i fucken looked at the douche bags who probably did it too while walking into the place. i come out and i see my passenger side window shattered with glass on the seat and wires hanging out of my dash. I have full coverage but i dont even know if it is worth claiming it if the deductible is more than the damage. i'm so pissed i dont even know what to do.

I had that shit happen to me once when I was living in Corvallis. Fuckin stupid ass mexican smashed open my rear window (pickup) and beat my whole dash apart with a hammer to get the stereo out. They caught him and didn't even do anything because he was illegal. My grandmother still had full coverage on the car tho, so when I reported it, I got a huge ass check to pay for a new dash, and got a new deck that was 10 times better than the one I had. Turned out to be a good deal in the end.

is it bad that i didn't call the cops, cause i figured the guys were gone and the cops themselves couldnt' do anything about it. I was so pissed i wasn't thinking reationally about it, i know these type of kids they'll shoot or stab you for a candy bar so i'm not even going to try and find them. Now i just hope insurance does what we pay them to do. If not i'm gonna have to find a window. I just looked at my insurance papers and my alpine cda 7894 is of loss, and i'll be stereoless.

You need to file a police report. You never know, your shit could turn up, or they might catch the fucks that did it.

I know almost exactly how you feel, it sucks, but you can't really do much. I was lucky enough to scare away the atemptees right as they broke the window. It happens way too often in around here.

how much was it to fix your window? I'm thinking maybe i should just claim my stock stereo got stolen but i dont know how well that'll fly, being it's a stock stereo and it's a stock stereo from a 15yr old car, who would want that.

BTW - That sucks Tony. I would get a window out of a parts car and install it yourself. Get a new deck and not worry about claiming it.

Tony, call my cell BEFORE you talk to your insurance company. Do NOT tell them ANYTHING before you call me. I have dealt with hundreds of theft cases...you probably do not know your rights or options.

BTW...call Rassmussen. Ask what a stock casette deck sells for new for your car. That is what you had in there, right? RIGHT!!!? Then you want a check for the amount of a new BMW casette deck...that should cover driving here, getting a decent stereo AND alarm AND lunch...

oh yes of course, those crack heads stole all my valuables in my car, my change and my beloved "stock" stereo=( they smashed my window and ripped my dash apart and ruined my obc. I also tried to find the pricing for the stock casette deck but no luck on realoem.com, i'll call rasumsan tomorrow. thanks luke
