Bought another one of these cars to make stock easy to achieve and jumped on the track. Threw 5 laps down and got down to 1:48.085. More later (including some tire pressure tuning?).
Bahaha, sorry. I'm a fan of the older/more slidey cars over the newer/stickier ones. Anyone else try driving an LMP1 car with no aids on? It's less fun.
Maybe I'll go buy a 599 GTB ;)
With my wheel its a bit easier but yeah, understood. I actually just took out the 599 and it was a little crazy
I will say I like to run ABS at the lowest setting, otherwise they lock if you even think about braking. If it's set to it's lowest, they will still lock if one panic brakes, as a real car would.
You have a nice consistent analog trigger for them brakes, basically instead of mashing it you just need to pull it to 80% and roll off it as you turn in. Braking for the corkscrew is a bit trickier, but you get a feel for the friction circle of the car over that crest and what you can and can't get away with.
I'll see if I can take a crack at it on my buddy's sexbox.
Also, this thread is worthless if we don't have all the driving aids off.
ALL OF THEM.
