There's a reason why having a car in Europe is considered a luxury! When you get over there, you'll understand what I'm talkin about

You'll be loving the low cost of living and dirt cheap gas prices of the States when you get back home
Yes, it is. Currently planing a trip to the US and thinking WTF.

Yes so as am example. An E30 can have a 55L tank. Now multiply that by like 8-10. Yea the prices are insane.

I'm not sure your math is right. Gas IS more expensive there, but you're talking $550 to fill a e30 tank.

Currently, here in Canada, we pay about 1.30CAD per litre.

You US folk pay about 1.05CAD per litre.

In germany, the current price is about 2.20 per liter CAD

these rates are all for regular gas

My point exactly - gas is going to be a little over twice as much, not 10x the price.

if you crash a rental car at the ring you are fu**ed, a friend of mine rented a car and they new he was at the ring, no idea if they had gps tracking on the car or if it was reported by someone at the ring

                  not worth the risk imo

It usually works out to about $8 a gallon. The nurburgring is NOTHING like the autobahn.

to fill an E30 tank, it costs about 70 euros, so roughly 100 dollars for a fill up.

                        please, esplain...

I do agree with one thing tho, there are more corners that you can do whatever speed you want to on the Ring. Whereas on the 'bahn you can't.

                            Rent a Bavaria

Yes, so gas is expensive in Europe. I found gas prices very affordable when I was in Saudi Arabia, but Germany is more pleasant.

So, as long as you're paying for gas, why not rent a classic BMW from BMW?

"Drive and let drive - BMW Classic offers models from its successful product history to rent. Travel back in time and experience the fascination of historical BMW vehicles today. "

That's going to be my retirement job, traveling from junkyard to junkyard in Germany in a 3.0CS, buying parts to sell to R3V.

Here's the place my buddy rented his car from:

Willkommen bei Rent4Ring, der Autovermietung am Nürburgring! Mit uns haben Sie den idealen Partner gefunden wenn es darum geht, die legendäre Nordsch

Spend some time checking out the site, he is a very experienced driver and he rented the Suzuki Swift "Stage 2" and said it was plenty fast.

How anyone can say the Autobahn and the 'Ring are basically the same makes no sense to me. If you've ever driven the 'Ring, there's no way you'd ever be able to say that.

True, I've never been to the ring, I had enough fun on the Autobahn as it was. It's cheaper as you dont' have to rent another car and you can do unlimited speeds legally and you dont have to just stay on the ring

So please tell me, what makes the ring better?
