Airsoft anyone?

Well I just broke out my M4 that I put away last summer due to FPS issues that were driving me crazy.

Then I placed an order for a new air nozzle and 10k bb's from Evike. Now I just need the warm weather to come around for some games!

All of this got me thinking, any R3v'ers partake in Airsoft? I used to play paintball but as I became more competitive, my wallet couldn't keep up with the amount of paint I was slinging. Don't get me wrong, I've dumped a lot of money into my airsoft gear to get where I want, but 10,000 rounds only cost me $25, I recharge my batteries so no air fee, and It's only around $10 to play for the day.

If there are other's I'll post my setup. Until then, flame suit on.

I've only played a couple times, but I just love Airsoft. I even bought a cheapo gun a few years back so I could play more, but I simply don't have the time or enough friends who want to participate.

Check out local groups, we have a Mid Atlantic forum/registry with quite a few members. In the summer time it is easy to throw together a group of 25+ for a day. Most local paintball parks let us use their woods fields.

Airsoft + speedball field is great fun too. Though a little painful.

I played a lot awhile back. Got really in to it and did a lot of milsim shit. It was definitely fun and when your loaded with gear in 90* Georgia heat, it made for great exercise as well. I wouldn't mind getting back in to it but I spend to much money on the e30.

played a lot when i was more of a "kid" probably 6 or so years ago. had a gas rifle that shot 600fps and nobody invited me to play anymore because i made them bleed

Nice, another localish airsofter! It's been some years since I have played, but still have most of my gear, we should get a game together.

Last time I played we had a pretty decent group of ~14 at Henryton in Marriottsville, most of that group is long gone, but what a great venue, although I heard it was getting demolished. Even if the bldgs are mostly gone the woods around there are a great spot as long as it isn't active rifle hunting season.

I wish i could combine the coolness and accuracy of airsoft with the sound and pain of paintball. Or just make paintball guns accurate...

You can, get a high FPS gas operated rifle, sounds better than AEGs and hurts reasonably. Unless you were talking of the financial pain of paintball...

yea just get simulation rounds and fire them out of real rifles, may pierce skin but are not deadly
