It has been said in this thread somewhere that those top teeth may "pop" off at any time under load. -

I believe the torque wrench I've been using is a snap on or craftsman
My set started at 10mm and went to like 25 I think not. Idk why but I just prefer name brand tools. But when it comes to stuff like jacks and engine hoist/stand harbor freight is the place to go.Leave a comment:

Yeah I have a mix of Craftsman and HF. My HF impact set was $20 for like 12mm-32mm or something weird like that. I really only use the 17, 19, 21 or 22 (I don't remember), 30 and 32 though.Leave a comment:

I had a Kobalt torque wrench literally fall apart in my hands. It was old, lol, one of the plastic handled ones.
Dad actually took it back and got a new one. New, metal handle one, looks and works great.
I bought a Craftsman one. lol.Leave a comment:

HF's impact socket set is quite good. They've taken a beating through everything from air impact guns to massively oversized cheater bars to being used to hammer out rear wheel hubs. I'd definitely recommend them, dunno about their standards sockets though.
JUST SAY NO TO RATCHET PUSS... BREAKER BARS.
I got all my tools from lowes kept everything kobalt for the most part. It a good brand and I've never broken a kobalt tool yet.... My impact set was like 60 bucks for like 15 deep sockets.Leave a comment:

I believe, in general, impact sockets are softer than non-impact ones so that they don't shatter. So non-impact sockets are likely just as durable or better, as long as they're sized accurately.HF's impact socket set is quite good.
