What are you guys setting your ABS at? I started at 1 on my first lap but couldn't get the car stopped. I moved it to 3 and haven't touched it since, seems a bit better. I need to work on modulating the brakes, especially on a car like this. It sucks when there's no feedback like in real life. You can't feel the g-forces or pedal pressure, you pretty much have to rely on sound and visual depiction of speed reduction (which is nearly impossible).

Haha, well I'm sure if I saw the cars in your sig, we'd both have bigger penises.

I did a 2:14.7, but after that couldn't get a single decent lap in. I blow the first corner every time. I either overshoot it and end up in the sand trap or brake so early that I need to get back on the gas before the corner. I don't understand how I'm so far off every time, when I use the same damn braking marker...

it shouldn't, but that's been a "feature" in GT games forever.

new or used, first thing you do with any car should be an oil change.

I just went and bought the M3 and did an oil change, it gave me like 20hp. I didn't do that last week when I bought the Lotus. Is this considered a mod?

That may explain why I was able to make the first three corners without lifting in the Lotus, lol.

that's a super-technical track - lots of chances to make or break your lap..

    this oughta be good.

    GT5 driving challenge #3

Challenge number 3 gents: BMW M3 Coupe on the Nurburgring GP/F. No modifications, tires can be sports soft (sports hard are stock), and there are no driver aids allowed except ABS on 1, (driving line, traction control, skid recovery force, active steering, or ASM are restricted). Challenge ends at midnight on March 14th. I feel that the tires are a bit too grippy but we had complaints last time ;)
