School me on E36 OBC replacement

My girlfriend's '98 323is has the simple OBC below the digital climate control. The unit is completely fu-cocked; half the pixels are burned out and buttons are stuck in depressed position. What am I to do?

I need to fix/replace this guy asap.

Thoughts? Experiences? Links? Ebay?

The last I checked you can swap in the 18 button one pretty easily.

No need to swap but I'll check that out.. stock is fine! She doesn't care! Nor do I!

Wait. If she doesn't care about the OBC... then can't you just remove it and put a blank plate there?

Nah, she wants the time/temp,etc stuff to work. The clock did work until I broke something while removing the DCC to do the capacitor repair.

So, I just need to replace that one I guess? Basically, should I be buying a refurbed one? Does something do these that's good value? Or am I stuck buying a new one?

Get one of the Euro analog clocks that fits there. Usually ebay.co.uk is crawling with them.
