Whats the difference between a mixed drink and a cocktail.
A mixed drink would be like a whisky coke. A simple two part or three part drink. A cocktail would be something you have to make, were you use actual technique (i.e. shaken).
I'm all about an old fashioned. It's my go to drink. Never house bourbon, usually Bulleit or Knob creek.
For an evening hot drink: black tea + bourbon + little milk
I don't really consider those to be "cocktails". I guess I'd call them mixed drinks. But who am I to say. Either way, I love a good double Jamison and Ginger Ale when out at a your average bar.
