Whats the difference between a mixed drink and a cocktail.

A mixed drink would be like a whisky coke. A simple two part or three part drink. A cocktail would be something you have to make, were you use actual technique (i.e. shaken).

I'm all about an old fashioned. It's my go to drink. Never house bourbon, usually Bulleit or Knob creek.

2oz rye
1/4oz Luxardo
1/4oz simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura
Absinthe rinse
Stirred with ice, served in an Old Fashioned glass with a twist of lemon

If you like an Old Fashioned, try this. Similar but much more complex.

It looks way too clear. Did you use the right kind of vermouth? may need to add a dash of bitter or quinine powder.
