you can find Clamato in asia???? I love them and play with the ratios and have found I really like them with a bit more fresh lime than most... and have also found that if you add about 2 extra dashes of Lea & Perins you can cut back a little bit on hot sauce and get a little more complex flavor with out the hot sauce over taking everything

Its been a long time since I have had a sidecar. Might just have to have one of those next time we go out.... I used to get a boxcar once in a while as well....

You might like a Blood and Sand too form the sounds of it.

    3/4 oz Scotch whisky
    3/4 oz rosso vermouth
    1/4 oz cherry brandy
    1 1/2 oz orange juice

Shake over ice cubes, strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve.

On a Negroni kick right now: 1 part gin, 1 part Campari, 1 part sweet vermouth, orange twist (I like mine with lemon though)

I'll occasionally substitute the gin for bourbon to turn it into a Boulevardier.

Other favorite is the Sidecar: 1.5 parts cognac, 1/2 parts Cointreau, 1/2 parts lemon juice, pinch of sugar or simple syrup. Adding a 1/2 part of dark rum will turn it into a Between the Sheets and that usually gets you into her panties.

Sleeve - that Bloody Caesar sounds amazing. I'm going to have one with breakfast tomorrow.

Anyway, one of my rules of life is: The cornier the name, the worse the drink.

If you like an Old Fashioned, try this. Similar but much more complex.

i love my burbons/wiskeys. this sounds really good. i'll have to try it.

normally i just drink bulliet/woodford/maker's 46 straight in a riedel single malt whiskey glass.

when i am in the mood for a cocktail, i make modified dark and stormys.

    ice
1.5 oz burbon(dark and stormys usually use dark rum)
    2 oz coke
    1 oz ginger beer.

throw all the ingredients in a shaker and shake the shit out of it.

strain off the ice in the shaker and pour into a highball glass full of ice.

Def not cocktails, mixed drinks for sure. Just throwing my .02 cents out there. Apologies for the deviation.

Ps. They're terrible, worst drink I've ever had.

It looks way too clear. Did you use the right kind of vermouth? may need to add a dash of bitter or quinine powder.
