how about in restaurants you frequent ?
I reappeared after year plus absence, staff still called me by my name, hugs and kisses from waitresses. impeccable service, chit chat and double shots, would you round $ 74 to a 100 ?
I sure do.Leave a comment:

I used to deliver pizza, and as such I always tip $5 minimum. That shit tears up your vehicle and gas isn't cheap.Leave a comment:

The food is "expensive enough" then make it yourself instead of cheaping out on someone's tip.Leave a comment:

For delivery I usually tip $5
At a restaurant or bar:
$10 if the waitress is friendly, laughs at things I say, and brings drinks on the reg
$7 if she checks up on us frequently
$5 normal rate if I have to ask for refills, go across the bar to get the tab, sucks working in the service industry so hope this helps
$0 if I have to pay in cash because the waitress is passive aggressive and won't bring the check over because everyone is talking about her being slowLeave a comment:

Agreed 100%. In OR, where I currently live, minimum wage is $9/hr. This includes servers and bartenders. While some are great, and I tip in the 20%-25% range for great service, most range from mediocre to really shitty. Many act like it's a privilege for you to eat/dine in their establishment and they're annoyed by your presence. It's striking compared to what you get in CO, NY, PA, or even Seattle. Before I moved to Portland I almost never tipped in the 10-15% range. Since moving here, it's become more common.
In FL, server min wage is $5.07. A lot of states have different laws regarding servers, so the tipping etiquette depends on region.Leave a comment:
