    Forza 4 Drivers' Challenge #10!

    Rankings:
    1. ELVA164 - 1:23.191
    2. HighOnLife - 1:23.745
    3. blasphemy101 - 1:24.784 (no pic yet)
    4. bmwguy325is - 1:25.594
    5. Devil Inc - 1:27.884
    6.
    7.

I decided to make this week a bit of a homage to the original Forza Challenge thread over on E30Tech, so the track will be the full Top Gear Test Track, and our car will be the E30's old nemesis, the 190E!

From the first few laps, the Merc appears to have much better brakes and high-speed stability, but not as much top speed and more of a low-speed push. I will say that my M3 time is still faster! :D

    To start:

    1:25.273

ALSO, it seemed like a few people struggled to find time to compete last week. Should we extend the duration of the challenges to help that out?

I was thinking that too. I got about 30 minutes in last week.

1 week is good - keeps it fresh. That being said, make this one 2 weeks since I probably wont get a time in this week as well - too much prep for the race this next weekend and leaving on Thursday morning. At least the car is running and moving under its own power again :)

The trend appears to be leaning towards two weeks, so we'll extend this challenge and see what we think. I'm pretty okay with that since, like NigelStu, I'm heading to the track (VIR) for the weekend and will literally miss the rest of the challenge if it's one week. So two weeks it is!

I voted to keep it one week, even though it has kept me from participating a number of times. When I'm able to get some runs in, I'm ready for a new challenge by the end of the week.

I ran a 1:24.784, but I'm unable to upload it from my phone. I'll get it up here later today

I drive with no assists. On a new track I sometimes put on the brake line till i figure out a place that I can brake. You can brake later than the line says most of the time. You have to figure the line anticipates for you.
Other than that nothing. I dont use the clutch option

That's how I normally do it I spend 99% of my time drifting so I think I just need to spend some time getting back into the racing groove

You should. It's quite a lot faster to use it

I'm like bmwguy, the only "assist" I use is manual shifting without the clutch button.

Also, I'm curious to see why the 190E's rating is so much higher than the M3's. There must be a lot of time hidden somewhere, because my best with the stock M3 is 1:24.0.

We should do this with drifting. I think I'll start one
