    Philadelphia sights

I'm going to be in Philadelphia for a few days next week. I've never been. What are some sights I should see? Places to eat?, etc.
I'll be in conferences from 9-5, but I don't want to sit in my hotel room after.

    Any suggestions?

there is a lot of history in that town, as often as I have been there, I have never gotten to see any of the sights or anything because I am only there for the day or a few hours and have a company truck .

Depends on what you want to do. I live in philly.

I'd say if you're doing the tourist thing you can go to old city, specifically independence mall, where you can go see the liberty bell and historical part of the city. There's also a lot of good bars and restaurants around there. Rittenhouse square in center city is a nice place to walk around when the weather's good.

Food wise you probably need to eat a philly cheesesteak. I'd recommend Jim's on south street. Also might want to check out some of the local dive bars. Northern liberties has a ton of good food and nightlife. I'd recommend Frankford Hall, Barcade, or El Camino Real.

      Hope that helps!

        Philadelphia sucks.

Jim's on South Street for Cheesesteaks

PYT near Temple if you want an amazing selection of burgers.

Check out the dead bodies, they kill someone every day up there. Watch out for hit and run drivers, that's pretty popular up here too.
On a serious note, the Constitution center is pretty interesting. I'm not sure how late it is open.

If you like food, check out Reading Terminal Market. It can be pretty chaotic, but worth spending an hour meandering around.
