I paid about $25k with tax.

        5 year loan @ 5.49% interest = $408/month.

Paid it off monthly until a few weeks ago when I mailed in a final check for the balance, $12,500 or so.

I dropped out of college and got a job, so I don't have to worry about juggling work and school.

The key being able to find a job that pays well with no degree :)

and if you get an E39 M5 with the sport package, you don't have to worry about getting wood trim.

LMB was my choice as well (sport int. with matching blue seat inserts) :)

See now, I don't like the blue inserts...which is too bad becuse a lot of the LMB cars have them. I have 'em in my Coupe and frankly I think they look fine on a little sports car like that but really out of place on a bigger luxury car like the M5.

didn't like them in pics, but obviously I like it enough in person to buy the car ;)

you can also get the sport int. with solid black seats. I just don't like the stitching on the luxury seats nor the wood trim... but I would like to have the full leather dash and leather door cards out of the luxury package ;)

Do you have the alcantara headliner?

I agree, the vertical stitching on the luxury seats looks a bit out of place. I can probably swap the wood trim with someone, somewhere along the line. But I'd really like a sport/lux car...best of both worlds.

Macanudo #5s for me, and CAO Maduros. My friend "smuggled" some real Cuban Cohibas in when he went to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip... they're quite nice.

I need to invest in a humidor, though. I've got a makeshift one right now built out of a wooden box I built and a guitar humidifier.

yeah in 01+ the headliner and pillars are standard in alcantara

I've heard the "extended" leather was an option so technically you could get a sport with leather dash.. but I never came across one when I was looking and still have seen one that way. I do have a somewhat rare option of the folding rear seat... odd that it'd be an option and not standard ;)
