Hi guys, I've had these thoughts for a long time. I want to do something in mechanical/engineering field. What should I concider when deciding on joining the air force? I do want to go to europe just to travel and to see different countries (actually I would love to!) english is my second language, (russian first) I'm pretty good on the athletic size, pretty skinny, bout 6,4.5 -6.5 I've heard that you HAVE to stay with air force for 10 yrs or more to retire from the airforce properly, I know at least two guys here who are in the airforce... I want truth which I can't get from the recruiters, I'm scheduling an app. for next week. I'm a "B" student in school... (more like a lang. barrier then educ....:( ) When I think of airforce, I think of travel, pretty easy life, pretty good money... to be honest! I want to get a ba in some kind of engin. field, but I don't know if airforce would be good to connect with education. The main reasons for me to go to airforce are listed above... I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings.. nor disrespect anybody, but I don't have any kind of feeling for this country to protect it... I would shoot a terrorist for america though.. it's just that I'm not patriotic about usa that much, I do like the country though. whehooo... long post, srry, so go ahead guys, tell me some stuff I should consider, I don't know... anything.
