Free MP3 editiing program?

anyone know of a program that i can use to edit some mp3's? mainly i just want to take off the begining and end of a few of them.

just redownload the bootleg MP3s you downloaded and cross your fingers, it's soo much less hassle.

no these are actual parts of the song that i want to take out. Stupid beginings and dump crap on the end.

There's a program called Audacity that will allow you to do just that. It's free too.
