I've had him since he was 7 weeks old. Holy shit puppies are a pain in the ass!

On a lighter note, meet my new puppy.

              Otis!

We picked him up from the breeder today. He's a pure bread male boxer that turned 8 weeks old yesterday.

This was her profile pic at the lab rescue.

Adopted her over the summer, shes about 3 months old here on her first day home.

Her gappy little baby teeth. I think her feet came full grown. They are the same size as in the next pic which was taken 3 months and 20 pounds after this shot

About a week ago, shes about 6 months old here.

Little Avalon waiting for her mom to get home.

Avalon's 105 lb. brother Aston. Not adopted, but got him from some kids off Craigslist, I am sure that counts as a rescue.

So I went to the school to pick up my kids one day when I was home from work and brought my dog. I figured we would go to the playground and play for awhile before going home, I bring plastic bags and a tennis ball, and there is a nice playground at the school yard there and a huge field next to it.

Everything was great, we were all having fun and had the playground to ourselves for about 10 minutes when all of a sudden the doors open up and 100 kids come running out. So I guess what happens is some of the kids are watched after school and they keep them in until they get all the other kids being picked up and taking the bus on their way before they let the kids that stay out to play.

As soon as I see the flood of kids I think ok I will just chuck this tennis ball as far into this field as I can and get the dog away from all the kids and maybe none of them will even notice there is a dog...

They all made a beeline for the dog, it was like someone announced on a bullhorn there is a dog playing fetch with grade school kids. Of course the dog doesn't mind at all, in fact she loves kids, they are delicious!

Anyway the dog is bringing back the ball and all the kids are running after the dog trying to get the ball before she brings it to me, sometimes they do sometimes they don't but its all good, it is clear to anyone watching they are all having a great time. One of the kids clearly a future genius at one point says to me "the dog keeps trying to bring the ball back to you" and I reply "well she is my dog"

One of the teachers watching the kids in the playground/field comes up about 10 minutes into this and asks me if the kids are bothering me. I was shocked, no I tell her of course not we are all having fun, and again anyone who is watching this can tell this dog is very good with kids. The teacher says to let her know if they are bothering and she will call them off, then goes back over to where the other teacher is.

Another 10 minutes goes by then the principal comes out and says I cant let the kids play with the dog. I say no problem, I understand but is it ok if I get a picture before we go? Principal says yeah sure so I ask the kids to gather around the dog.
