My last job at the BMW dealer working in the parts dept. Best job i ever had! Spent a few hours in the morning unloading the truck and sorting parts. Then the rest of the day was spent on ETK looking up and buying parts. Maybe some random parts runs in the convert 650.sigpicComment

I have to say that my favorite job was a furniture delivery man. Great pay, kind of could make your own hours, kept me in shape and I liked the work out. I met new people every day and came across problems and you would have to try and make it work. Not to mention when I had a delivery that was like 3 hours away I would get blazed and just listen to music the whole ride.
The only downside was traffic, I wished it were legal to shoot people for driving like shit.Comment

My current job is my favorite. I drive a flatbed for a towing company. I get in my truck turn on the music and drive around all day getting people off the side of the road. I really like because i see alot of crazy stuff and the pay is good."It's a M sport, it has M logos on it."

Ive had restaurant experience since I started working. My last job up in Pismo Beach at an Italian restaurant was my favorite by far. I've never met the such endearing assholes in my life. Never felt so family at the work place either /handmotions

my current job is also my favorite. here are a couple views from my office window. i posted some of these in another thread a while back. if they seem like reruns to some of you, i apologize.

anyway, the thing i like the most about my job is that they put me in charge of a 25 million dollar airplane for 3 or 4 days a week. i am responsible for figuring out how to get the thing safely from point a to b. it is up to me to use the resources available to make it happen. 90% of the people that make up my crew are pretty awesome and fun to spend a few days with. i never talk to my supervisor and he never talks to me unless i just happen to walk by his office, see him in there and feel like stepping in and shooting the shit.
they just give me a schedule and an airplane. i am responsible for the rest. there is no one putting their thumb on my head or kicking me in the ass to do my job. it has a lot of freedom and responsibility but i guess i thrive on that. once and a while when we arrive at our destination, there is a thunderstorm or really bad weather sitting over the field. occasionally because of this, we have to divert to an alternate airport. that is the biggest pain in the ass of my job. even so, i pretty much just take it in stride along with everything else. in fact, i can't imagine doing anything other than flying airplanes for a living.
if all that weren't enough, some of the overnights we have are just amazing. this week i will be in Guadalajara, mx for 37 hours. the last time i was there we took a tequilla tour which consisted of getting on a bus with about 40 other people, riding out to the town of tequilla, doing a tour to see how its made, getting really fucked up in the sampling room, visiting the old city of tequilla, getting more fucked up on the national drink, then driving to dinner and finally back at the hotel by about 6pm. all that cost about 25 bucks.
next week i have a 36 hour overnight in puebla mexico. i haven't done one of those in over 10 years. i am pretty sure it will be the highlight of my month. my wife is planning to come along.
here is a pic of me hanging out last summer in the old section of montreal, canada during a tall ship festival

yes, life sucks. 8)Last edited by flyboyx; 05-06-2013, 05:53 AM.sigpic

Best job I had was also the lowest paying. I was a groundskeeper at a Holiday Inn.
The typical day:
Show up around 11am. Eat the continental breakfast.
Check in with the Maintenance department (one old guy and me), grab my 2 way radio and keys.
Ride around on the lawn mower listening to music, getting some sun.
Weed wack if needed, trim the hedges about once a week.
Order lunch from the in-hotel restaurant at half price.
Get radio'd to bring towels to the outside pool when needed, stay for a couple minutes and mingle with guests.
Sweep up the walk ways
Go home when the sun started to set.
Really laid back.
Now I'm a project manager and a medium sized credit union. Sometimes it's a whirlwind, sometimes it's pretty laid back. I have a nice private office, but I miss working outside during the summer.Comment
