Should have had Newman build that GTR.

And the s38 is more of a wow factor. Nothing beats a proper s54 turbo mmmmmmm

This reminds me ALOT of a Lancia Delta Integrale with supposedly 330whp (which I noticed it didn't have after 30 seconds of driving) that I did a head gasket swap on (after it blew trying to run away from my E30 :D) .. anyways, it had been stripped completely and re-done into a race/rally type of car, but it would've probably fell apart.. It was hacked up to shit in a very similar way like the zip-tied connectors, shitty welds, a poorly placed aftermarket turbo and pretty much every electric connector was sitting loose, and on top of that none of the gauges worked... wonder how much boost it was running

what a butcher shop of a job they did on that gtr...that car is already sorted out as is, then have some numbnuts who clearly don't know what they're doing go in and eff it up. I'd rather make a slow car go fast than a fast car go even faster. I miss my e30...

All that money and you could have had a real exotic or supercar.

if I had 250k to spend modding a car, most of it would be hiring a master tech to come to my house and help me around the ropes while I do it my damn self.

Wow, read the whole thing. What a disaster.

another review of said performance shop.

I am reporting Forged Performance to the Georgia Governor?s Office of Consumer Affairs, and I hope that by posting my experience here, that anyone else who has had a similar experience, you will also...

                            Wow!

                            The Truth About Forged Performance

This is going to be a long winded review, but my experience spans over a 22 month timeframe and I am still dealing with the repairs as I write this. I feel it is important to notate all of the details in order to properly warn my fellow GT-R owners. I would never want anyone to have to go through what I have experienced over the last couple of years.

Here are the cliff notes for anyone who doesn’t want to read the entire detailed experience”

                            • 22 month project
                            • Over $250,000 spent at Forged Performance
                            • Countless lies and broken promises
                            300 whp below goal
                            Engine failure before delivery
                            Transmission failure shortly after delivery
                            2nd Engine failure upon teardown
                            • Hacked up turbo kit
                            • Overcharged for the performed work
                            • Horrible craftsmanship
                            • Shoddy work
                            • FP refused to compensate me for the troubles or refund me

Show me another car as new, comfortable, reliable and as much of a performer as a 1300whp gtr for that price. Ferrari's and lambo's in this price range couldn't come close to touching one of these, and clearly performance is the goal, not a badge and status.

I agree though, he's a fool. To give away $1/4mil and not even do a background check on the business, kind of alarming how individuals this dumb make that kind of money to begin with.

This is what happens when you don't deal with real shops like AMS and the like.
