I tried the 037 by the way trying to see what the fuss was about. It will suffice to say I was nowhere close to your time... I think my skills in tuning leave something to be desired.
I suppose the tuning could be doing it, but I find the car is very easy to steer with the throttle which I enjoy. It's also very well-balanced and predictable which makes it easy to push. I found it to be faster with 2wd than 4wd also, which is probably why Lancia built it that way :p

I havnt been keeping up with these challenges but I just got back into forza 4. (Horizon just feels soooo fake.) Anyway me and a buddy like to run fuji with any car and any tune setup as long as it is 250hp or less and weighs more than 2500 lbs. It really makes for some good racing.

We can keep that as an idea for the next challenge! I like that the rules are mixing up a bit now, it keeps things interesting.

Words can not describe the disappointment I had with the execution of Horizon. When it was first teased, I thought it was a dream come true with the open world format and an entertainingly realistic physics engine like Forza. Then I started watching the first videos when they came out and saw the huge, wide highways and NFS-esque motion blur and realized what was really going on. I'm still hoping for a game with some semblance of real life canyon carving. I want traffic and somewhat realistically sized lanes. Noob accessibility be damned :hitler:

Sorry for the triple post, but I had to share this since both the Stratos and 037 have popped up. I don't know if any of you guys watch /drive on youtube, but Chris Harris' videos are excellent.

I like this too. We just have to keep it fairly simple as to limit the amount of cheating. I mean Im in it to have fun but my OCD will kick in and Ill sit and check the winning car for things like weight limit LOL.
Plus we dont want to use rivals or leader board cars for challenges.

                    Yes this.

I will be on tonight. Same screen name if you didnt figure it. Be kinda fun to sit and do laps with people rather than the AI dudes.

No kidding, I haven't really been on live for a few months, so I'd need to buy a new subscription.

So I know this doesn't fit this week's rules, but I did a few laps in a British car yesterday...

                        ;)

Could be mistaken but that track seems wrong as well JK
                          Good work looked fun!

Thanks! It was. The tires were super old and I was trying to keep myself in check not to use things up, but it was really fun.

So awesome. From all the fiddling with the steering wheel that you were doing, it seems the tire situation certainly was questionable. Then again, I know nothing about track driving. BTW, how much does that cortina weigh?

The car also runs a live rear axle with leaf springs, so it isn't exactly planted. That's part of the fun though! :D The car weighs about 1700lbs thanks to the gigantor cage installed by the PO.
