I lol'd at that. Lame old guy that is afraid to confront his younger wife, and just quietly fronts all the money for her miserably failing fantasy land. I think he was using "gangster" in a figurative sense, but even that is pretty laughable. Typical middle aged guy that has achieved some level of success in a business that is too boring for anyone to appreciate. So they seek glory in weird ways. Being god of your own shitty little restaurant in the cookie cutter butthole of the earth is apparently this guy's way. He'd get his face pushed in just about anywhere else.

No need, my greatest payment ever would be simply for r3vvers to show up to this restaurant, and leave our internet "mark".

          According to their face book...

"In fact, wait staff is paid $8-$14 per hour, two and half to nearly five times the standard hourly wage for servers."

Minimum wage is significantly less for those who get tips (as long as the tips compensate to make a total of at least minimum wage). What they're obviously failing to mention, which everyone likely knows at this point, is that they kept all the servers' tips.

                Finally, someone agrees with me!

The amount of cameras and lighting in the show really cracks me up, esp. since they have regular "customers" coming in there to eat...with huge boom mic;s, robotic cameras mounted on all the walls, and enough lighting to make the location visible from space.

Those "customers" are nothing but background actors. For anyone who's been on set before, you know what I'm talking about.

As for Gordon, I've never seen him so docile. This is only the second or third episode I've seen of the show, and either he's getting so old he doesn't care anymore, or this was part of the script. I'm willing to bet it's the latter of the two, esp. since the show is getting a little long winded in it's storylines.

Overall I think this is a great way to get attention and build PR. I mean look at how many ppl. are talking about that episode? Think of how many ppl. want to go to that restaurant now...even if it is just to get yelled at.

I have to give them credit for creating so much buzz (even if it's negative).

I personally disagree with this business practice. I know this is true first-hand as my GF and brother are both servers and some days they'll make sub $3 an hour if they get a lot of tips.

So, the fact you have to be accepted and email the PR Firm to get into the grand re-opening means that they'll probably have you sign NDA's or other legal documents so you can't say what you actually experience.

Here's the thing though... Arizona's Recording Law states that one party must be informed, you can be that one party. I'd consider a restaurant a public place where conversations can be heard and recorded without too much worry, it is private property, but likely falls into the realm of public during operating hours.

If a reporter/person is smart, and gets the go-ahead from someone who can dissect the law to a T, and record the grand re-opening, as that would be comedic gold I'm sure and releases it as an anonymous post.

After the the re-opening I think it would be pretty funny to have some friends and go there to order overpriced wine and just watch the show on any given afternoon/night. Chris, Austin, any other locals I'm down, but I won't even try to go to the grand re-opening. This place will eventually close, even with Samy's financial backing.

                            Public Meetings

Arizona's open meetings law provides that "[a]ll or any part of a public meeting of a public body may be recorded by any person in attendance by means of a tape recorder or camera or any other means of sonic reproduction, provided that there is no active interference with the conduct of the meeting." A.R.S. § 38-431.01(F).

                            http://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/arizona-recording-law

Let's be real though, Amy is seriously unhinged, and needs help. She won't be saying anything other than what is on cue cards at the re-opening.

Stating that "SOME" what, lol $100? Is going to a foundation for anti-bullying is laughable, and is ACTUALLY in my mind, an insult to kids who are e-bullied. They created their problems, and need serious help.

This is off the crazy scale, immeasurable.

did u see what was in the comments?!

Her real name is Amanda Patricia Bossingham.
The court ordered her to pay $36,294.95 in restitution. Ms. Bossingham plead guilty to submitting an application for a line of credit with M & I Bank using the social security number of another person. The Bank approved the line of credit in the amount of $15,000.
On June 15, 2004, the Court sentenced her to fourteen months prison. (she appealed, but eventually lost, reported to prison in Oct, 7, 2008)
