It's only a matter of time that the show took a turn like this. I mean how many times can you have the same outcome, over and over again... get's kinda boring doesn't it?

Doubt it--there's a video on youtube of this couple on the local AZ news from 2010 where they were dumb enough to go on TV and basically claim all of the same things they did in this video--that they aren't "taking any shit from people on the internet."

You can't fake crazy of this degree.

I guess nobody but the producers others involved can truly say for sure, but given everything that has come to light since the episode (the facebook/reddit shitstorms, former employee testimony, etc.) I'm going to say this was unscripted.

But who cares.

The original British version of this show is much better and less sensationalized. It is shot in a more believable/less Hell's Kitchen way. No dramatic music either. However, my friend used to help to produce this show a few seasons ago. No scripts. She claims the people are just that crazy. And that was long before these crazy cat people were ever around.

ho-ly shit. My family has owned multiple restaurants in the past, which i have worked in. I used to watch alotta cooking shows but havent caught this episode.... this had my jaw on the floor the whole time. If this restaurant was in SF, it wouldnt have survived the first 6 months. I guess Samy is loaded with cash to the point where it doesnt matter if they even make $1, which i suppose is why he takes all the tips, because the place doesnt make shit. wow, just wow.
