    Any Go cart racers?

Hey guys, i see alot of R3vl does autocross events and some rallying, i was wondering if anyone races gocarts? I currently race 2 TAG gocarts, one Kosmic, and one CRG, both very fast, but i prefer the Kosmic.

I don't think this is what you mean, but I've had a few drives in a 6hp Sodi kart on an indoor track, good for about 40mph. Not the craziest thing ever, but fast enough to catch some air over a rise

It's a fun thing to do, especially with a group of friends. I get to be the "car guy" of the group and talk about lines and stuff. The place near me also prints out time sheets so everyone can compare.

Yea! Those are fun. We have a lap timer we put out on the track, and once we pass it it tells us the time we turned that lap on our computer that's located on the steering wheel, it also stores the top 3 lap times to see how consistent you are. It keeps you sharp for cars that's for sure!

An old neighbor of mine has a 125cc kart I've been trying to get him to part with for years. Motor is shot and it just sits.... But damn is that thing a blast when it is running.

I have doing it for 1 year and a half, pretty fun and competitive. I race in the Yamaha KT100S(25-26hp) not so fast but good for learning. Next category is Parilla X30 125cc(32hp) faster but let you have more errors, not like the yamaha, you have to be very smooth, good for learning.
Just won my first race last month :D the first of the championship, 7 races left.
I started with a CRG(i had trouble with the setup, very tricky) then changed to a Intrepid which im currently racing.
I have tried Tony Kart but didnt like it too much(its easier to drive, dont know why)
Its a great sport, people underestimate it.

That it is, you don't like the crg? I LOVE mine, extremely loose, and that's the way I like it (no pub intended) also, my kosmic is pretty loose also, but has way better brakes and I can drive into turns further. It's great when your in a loose cart, and your in a chicane type turn, and pass someone sideways, best feeling ever. And I started out on a tony kart 4 stroke clone. Currently making it a shifter.

i've only played with 50cc non-shifters. they are ridiculously fun... so much so that i can not fathom the speed of a 125 two-stroke shifter cart.

I'm pretty light so I get air on our local tracks too and I can drift every corner unlike the heavier guys.
Although drifting the whole course does not provide good laptimes, it's really awesome.
I wanted to buy a street-legal cart, but I'm too pu55y about getting hit by a car.

Greg and I did that recently, it was a lot of fun. I'll be bringing gloves next time I drive though, got blistering from steering hard around those corners. Definitely worth it, everyone whose remotely into cars or racing should try it once!
