that looks fun, like snowboarding but with possibility of severe road rash.

First place to start would be the top of a hill usually. But that might be too mainstream.

        looks really gnarly, but interesting.

i can respect them more than long boarders. but the best wheel'd board is a skateboard.

Downhill skateboarding ftw. Because longboarding implies boardwalk cruising.

I dont freebord butI Ive been riding a Loaded Dervish for 4 years now, and drooling over the freebords versatility but im not one for wearing a helmet, and that looks FAR to dangerous to be doing without a helmet on.

look up freebord crashes on the tube.

Coming from a long-time longboarder, threads where you start out by insulting the people you're asking questions of is clearly the best way to start.

Loaded's are awesome. I wish they had more concave but still a fantastic board.

Haha nahh no mean to insult. I was just having fun saying that the scene got taken over by hipsters.

I can't even imagine how fun this would be. I've only ever tried downhill on standard skate set up and there's not much that puckers your butt like some serious speed wobbles.

Wonder how well that'd work on the ragged ass pavement we have in upstate NY...

I know, like i wanna get one or atleast experience it but in vegas the hills we have are to close for comfort or to rugged.

and I just read through your swanny build thread and i have to say.. i got my car the exact same way. Its rattle canned black and torn up interior, ohh and lots of engine problems.

I kinda miss my first e30 (84 318i)...fun to whip around on back roads. Anyway if you throw effort and $ into it you'll be pretty happy.

I've been freebording since they first came out, definitely better than longboarding in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I longboarded for years, but I just happen to hop on the freebord train right when they came out and got a little sponsorship from them when so I was hooked after that. Just grab a board and go for it if you're first starting out. takes about 2 days to figure it out

That looks fun as hell, wish I still skated regularly.

I've tried it, but it's not very easy I never really got the hang of it. Snowboarding was always easier for me. I longboard and wakeboard in the summer to get my board buzz.

I would stick to longboarding. Freeboards don't work without hills, where as you can cruise on a longboard on flat ground. I longboard all summer and snowboard all winter.
