    Wtf bmw

This is my first vent post here-

Was just searching for an M-tech 2 steering wheel, only to find they've been marked up 2x this year. Cheapest I could find one for is about $660... last year I almost pulled the trigger on an Suede Evo model for $300. WTF BMW??

Does anyone know what is going on with BMW marking up e30 parts prices over the past year? Is it just due to dwindling supplies, or them picking up on the increased demand for e30s?

Well...not sure what it could be, but the E30's popularity has certainly spiked in the last few years.
I blame it on increasing "cult" style popularity, and overall reemergence into the pop culture scene.
People like Frank Ocean, Dom Kennedy, and other celebrities are flaunting theirs' more and more.

      well waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles

Now I feel like hoarding parts just for the off chance I may need them in the future; i surely can't afford these 2002-style parts prices.

i wouldnt say frank ocean is flaunting his.

he just has money to buy what he wanted when he was broke so he bought an E30 as soon as he got that check from def jam.

Supply and demand, doesn't surprise me. If people were willing to buy the last of your stock for a higher price, you'd raise waffles too.

Think about silly cars like the Corolla SR5. NO ONE gave a flying waffle about that car till the market jacked the hell out of the GT-Ss. And no one in the 80's predicted a car like the bloody Nova was gonna raise in price either.

They got cheap. It was an easy transfer from a vw as well.
