    Review: post #59

I almost dropped 20 bucks(YET again) on an 8pk of Schick Hydro 5 blades today.

Metal handles with German made high end blades that cut insanely clean. If you are like me; rough thick beard. I have been having issues since I was 14. Cuts, burns and crap if I tried to keep a close shave. I have just switched to beard on the face and a clean neck every other day.

Best part is how long and well the blades work. AND how cheap they are for refills. 1.56 per blade if you buy a 16pk @25.00.

Ordered a set tonight and I will be posting a review for us coarse, thick bearded fellows.

Check out their site and read up, really cool. Just thought I would share, shaving is a daily routine for 10% of r3v. I am sure the other 90% will grow some in a few years ;)

F34R - I love the attention you pay towards things like proper footwear and attire as well as hygiene. Most of these topics that you post appear to be quite informative and actually enlightening yet it surprises me that you post subjects that others would not post.

I have a thick beard as well and am part of the "I spend 20 dollars on 4 blade refills club"
Learned one thing early on. Never shave upwards and always shave downwards. Shaving upwards may give one a closer shave - no doubt. It also forces the hair back into the folicle and causes irritation and ingrown hairs quite frequently.

Before shaving down only - lots of irritation and ingrown hairs. After- virtually none ever!

Please post up a review as soon as you can try out these products so that I can consider the switch. Although I have one of those vibrating shavers that are out now the Mach 700 or some shit and I must say I was skeptical at first that the built in vibratory action would do anything for a more comfortable shave, but actually IT DOES!

I love clothing/men's fashion and any personal care that goes with daily life. I really dislike how most men think dressing up and paying attention to details like; shoes, color combos and simple tricks to stand out means you're a sissy or any less manly. Fact is that the top thing women tend to notice when first meeting a man is shoes.

I have more shoes than most women now days. From Aldens to basic Toms slipons(get a pair, amazing comfort).

Even though the area around me is hicks and potheads. I love nothing more than pressing a linen button up and going out in my sports coat or suits. You do not need a special reason to look put together!

As some that follow my instagram know I post a good amount of outfits.

Best part about being great at outfits is woman friends love having you along. What can get better than being asked to judge a woman's 'outfit'? ;)

I know I am not alone on here.

Same. Well, I quit my job at the bank a while ago, but during lunch and stuff you do get a good amount of attention from woman when wearing a suit. Even when I sometimes take off my tie for lunch.

I shave everyday like my pops. Disposable blue/green Gillette shavers all day everyday like my pops.

This looks pretty slick, I've been using my Fusion for years now, and hate having to get new blades for it. Just seems stupid expensive for what they are. May have to give this a shot.

I only shave twice a week and use one of those gilette things. Works fine for me.

Also, I started using this method for sharpening them...surprisingly, it's worked really well and I get about a good month per blade.

A 6 pack of replaceable blades easily last me 6 to 8 months

If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

                              Oh this looks promising!

I like the idea of wearing nice clothing and shoes, but it has always been hard for me. I have worked blue color jobs all my life and dont see changing anytime soon. When you work in kitchen, construction sites, boat yards, and garages keeping clothing looking good is hard. I would have to have two entirely different sets of clothing which just seams like way to much work lol
I have my work cloths that make up the majority of my clothing plus a few nice pairs of jeans t-shirts and button ups that I wear on weekends. I look forward to retiring and just wearing casual 1940's stile suits every day like my gramps in Germany lol.
