      Really? I consider TSR's & spyware to be autorunning programs that hog up CPU time & bandwidth. That sure sounds like a "widget" as described by you guys.

        I've never had a widget hog bandwidth or CPU time, just memory. Regardless, if you know what you're doing in Unix, you can disable them.

          As you can in any operating system.

          I just find it funny that TSRs & Spyware, long considered the bane of the PC universe are considered the "hot" thing in the mac world now.
